‘Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla’ Cinematic Trailer Released

Ubisoft reveals the musical theme of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and does so with a new version of the cinematic trailer seen before, but with a new soundtrack

The main theme of  Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is revealed with a new version of its cinematic trailer, also starring the female version of Eivor. The song has been created by Sarah Schachner (an American composer and musician) and Jesper Kyd who is a Danish composer and sound designer. Einar Selvik has also collaborated to compose the song.

It is also the opening theme for The Ravens Saga, the second EP of seven songs taken from the game’s official soundtrack. It’s available now on Spotify and iTunes and includes tracks from all three.

“We wanted the atmosphere of the song to instantly transport the listener to another time and place, full of mystery and uncertainty,” says Schachner. “There are Nordic instruments, but they are used in a more modern way. The theme represents the journey of Eivor, as well as the hope of the Vikings to find a better life as they move south to the Anglo-Saxon regions ”.

Also, Danish composer and sound designer Jesper Kyd states: “We wanted to evoke the Eivor journey, highlighting what motivates him and the bond he has with his family. Eivor is looking for something, and this desire to find it and solve it is a key element that is reflected in the melody and the mood ”.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set in 9th century Nordic Europe, starring a Viking warrior during the invasion of Great Britain. It will be released on PS4, Xbox One, PC & Stadia on November 17, and on PS5 and Xbox Series X on the days that the consoles are released.
