Based in the same world as one of the classic RPG games Suikoden, Eiyuuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes raised $1.5 million in a day. Let’s find more about it!
Suikoden is an RPG game first released back on December 12, 1995. Many variations of the game have come out since then the latest being Genso Suikoden: Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki on February 9, 2012.
The original creator of the game Yoshitaka Murayama has teamed up with some other developers of the game like Junko Kawama who took the charge after Murayama left the franchise in 2002, and has created a new studio called Rabbit and Bear Studios and will be working on a new game based in the same world as Suikoden and is called Eiyuuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
More About The Kickstarter Campaign
The Kickstarter was launched on July 27, 2020, with a minimum goal of ¥53.8 million or $510,381 which was achieved within 3 hours and has raised more than $1.5 million in a day from around 14,300 backers. After the campaign reached $1 million it was announced that the game will also be developed for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 as it was originally only intended to release on PC.
More About The Game
The game will include 100 recruitable characters, it will explore the continent of Allraan, and will feature a storyline about a kingdom that has grown stronger than its surrounding kingdoms due to its discovery of magic amplifying technology and is now trying to look for an artifact to enhance its power even more.
It will have turn-based fights and you can bring 6 characters with you to the battle. The characters will have various abilities and can even learn custom ones and can be linked with other characters’ abilities as well.
The game will also include world building and will allow you to make your stronghold and much more. With so many features it isn’t a surprise the game had such a successful Kickstarter campaign.
