It seems that this other measure by the so many Epic Games has consisted of lowering the price of Fortnite turkeys, but not temporarily, but permanently.
I suppose you will already be aware of everything that has been formed around Epic Games and Fortnite. And it started with Apple removing Fortnite from the App Store after Epic changed its mobile payment policy. After that, and almost immediately, Epic declared war on Apple by parodying its “1984” spot and the #FreeFortnite movement in Fortnite.
All this was generated because Google and Apple apply a 30% rate on payments, and by implementing that direct payment, Epic Games leaves both companies without that percentage. For that reason, and just a few hours later, Google also removed Fortnite from the Play Store for Android devices, adding to the war between Apple and Epic Games.
As you have seen, if you make the payment through the companies, the price of the V-Bucks is € 9.99, but if it is done directly through Epic it drops to € 7.99. Now, Epic Games itself has officially confirmed that this reduction in the price of turkeys is not temporary, but permanent.
And not only this, since if you enter the game or have entered during these days, you will receive a gift ax for the fact of having entered the game. So now it seems that since the price of V-Bucks has been devalued, it is now a bit easier to buy in in-game currency.
For now, there are no more details and/ or updates regarding this case of Google/ Apple and Fortnite, beyond the fact that the companies seem totally firm in their decisions.
And Remember that the latest Fortnite update, 13.40, is available from the beginning of this month.
