Injustice 3 looks like one of the most likely announcements for this August’s DC Fandom event and a new teaser suggests it will include Watchmen.
On August 22, Warner will celebrate the DC fandom, an online event focused on the DC universe: comics, movies, and of course video games. It is known that the long-awaited new Rocksteady game, from the Suicide Squad, will be present. And although it is not confirmed, it would be very strange that we do not also see Injustice 3.
Tom Taylor, a writer of the Injustice comics for DC, has been releasing teasers for a long time on Twitter. And he recently confirmed that he would be at the event, mentioning Ed Boon (one of those responsible for Mortal Kombat and the Injustice games).

But that is not all. Artist BossLogic has posted on Twitter a concept art for a poster for Injustice 3 (or Injustic3) that also includes references to Watchmen: A Clock (which could refer to The Doomsday Clock, Doomsday Clock, a comic book series sequel to Watchmen) and the “smiley” badge from The Comedian.
Naturally, it could be a simple fan art. But, BossLogic has collaborated with other studios before, participating in the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. In addition, he himself confirmed that he will attend the DC Fandom event.
Since the first Injustice, NetherRealm has alternated them with the new installments of Mortal Kombat. Injustice 2 came out in 2017, and Mortal Kombat 11 in 2019, so the dates also add up for an intergenerational Injustice 3 in 2021.
Taylor’s constant teasers, the BossLogic poster, the presence of both of them, and Ed Boon at the DC event, a lot would have to go wrong for not seeing Injustice 3 on August 22.
