Sony begins a week with news about PS VR, and the first one is that the version of Minecraft on PS4 will be compatible with Virtual Reality this month.
The PS4 variant of Minecraft will continue to improve this month to give comfort to PS VR. Mojang’s game already existed in Virtual Reality on specialized devices, and now it will be possible to play the entire game through the official PlayStation 4 viewer.
This is possible thanks to the arrival on PS4 of the Minecraft Bedrock version, the same one used by other consoles, PC and mobile devices, and which finally allowed cross-play.
If you’ve never played Minecraft on PS VR before, you’ll find that this version is the same game, without any clipping, but with a 360-degree view. It will be available this September, in a patch that will download automatically.

This announcement is the first of the week “PS VR Spotlight”. Throughout these days, PlayStation will make a series of announcements about upcoming titles that will come to PS VR, with news of already known games and perhaps new titles.
Stay tuned to their social networks until Friday, September 11, well at 4:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time) to see all the news. Also, starting on Wednesday there will be a new series of offers on the PS Store for PS VR games.
Therefore, do not expect news about PS5 this week, neither the console nor the supposed new model of PS VR in development for PS5. The prevailing PS VR version will be compatible with the latest console.
These are the exclusive PS VR games that will be on sale until September 23:
- Arizona Sunshine
- Astro Bot Rescue Mission
- Blood & Truth
- Borderlands 2 VR
- Everybody’s Golf VR
- Farpoint
- Firewall Zero Hour
- LA Noire: The VR Case Files
- Superhot VR
- Tetris Effect
- Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
