Although Street Fighter V came out four years ago for PS4 and PC, it still has fireworks. Capcom has just revealed the content for Season V, the latest, which will include five new fighters, four stages, many costumes, and various adjustments to combat.
At the Street Fighter V Summer Update presentation, Takayuki Nakayama, Director, and Shuhei Matsumoto, Producer, hosted by Kenny Omega, Professional Wrestler, revealed these characters:
- Dan (Street Fighter Alpha)
- Rose (SF Alpha)
- Gold (SF III New Generation)
- Akira Kazama (from Rival Schools 3D fighting games series).
The first update, in winter 2020, will introduce Dan, a new scenario and new costumes, as well as new mechanics. Here you can see a short video of Dan, which is still in development.
The following characters will be out in Spring 2021, Summer 2021, and the end of 2021 when we will see a character not yet revealed.
If you haven’t tried Capcom’s fighting game yet, you’ll be able to enjoy an extensive free trial for four weeks, on PS4 and PC, from today until August 19, which will include its entire roster of 40 characters. Later, you will find it on sale, with a discount of up to 60%.
In other conditions, it is very likely that this presentation would have been held during the EVO, the leading competition in fighting games, which this year was canceled due to the cases of sexual abuse of one of its main organizers.
