Suikoden creators trying to crowdfund their new Spiritual sequel or successor game “ Eiyuden Chronicles”

Suikoden was a character-playing video game that was created by Yoshitaka Murayama and released in Japan on 15th December 1995. One can play the game at that time in

PlayStation only, later it was developed for Microsoft Windows in 1998. 

The game is partially based on a Chinese novel Water Margin. Each game has themes related to politics, corruption, revolution, and mystical crystals known as “True Runes” and “108 Stars of Destiny”.

 It has 5th generations and one of the best video games of that time.

On last Friday, Rabbit and Bear Studios, a studio which consists of many creators of

Suikoden franchise has announced a plan for crowdfunding for the spiritual sequel game name called “Eiyuden Chronicle”. 

The series will be developed by newly formed Rabbit and Bear Studios.

 The highlights of the game are JRPG exploration with high-resolution 2.5D graphics and Pixel-based characters. 

Like the old version of Suikoden series, its spiritual Sequel will demonstrate a massive amount of characters: 100 unique heroes in “Eiyuden Chronicles”. 

The developers have said that they will include Fortress buildings for creating better war zones and battle. The team which is behind the Spiritual successor are Suidoken Creator Yoshikata Murayama

(Suikoden, Suikoden2) as the games director and the writer, Junko Kawano (Suikoden,

Suikoden 4) serves as a lead artist, Osamu Komuta will be working on system design and Direction and Junichi Murakami (Castlevania) will be working on art direction and

production on art direction and production. 

It is heard that Composer Motoi Sakuraba (Tales series) and Michiko Naruke (Wild arms series) is also attached to this project. Rabbit and Bear studios are attempting to crowdfund Eiyuden Chronicles through Kickstarter and they will run the campaign from 27th July to 28th August 2020.

The new game will be developed initially for PC, with console versions supposed to be unlocked through crowdfunding.
