The Witcher Monster Slayer Announced For Mobile

The Witcher Monster Slayer is basically “The Witcher Go”: prepare to meet gigantic monsters in your city and defeat them in combat as if you were Geralt of Rivia.

The universe of The Witcher, born in the books by Andrzej Sapkowski and extended to video games with CD Projekt RED and also to television series with Netflix is now entering new territory: that of mobile games based on Augmented Reality.

Spokeo, a studio owned by CD Projekt, is creating The Witcher: Monster Slayer, which was just announced with this trailer. It will be basically a new version of the Pokémon Go phenomenon and its substitutes, like Harry Potter Wizards Unite, but with more emphasis on RPG elements. There will be a story with missions to complete, and the fighting will be in the first person.

On their website, we can see more details about the game, which currently has no release date. It will be set long before the Geralt of Rivia era, there will be story missions and it will feature dozens of monsters from the world of The Witcher looking the same as the CD Projekt games, of course, although there will be never-before-seen monsters.

These will be gigantic, the size of buildings, and we will have to fight with them in first-person combat they will be RPG style, although it is not clear how they work. Yes, they will have many options, because we can train our character, create potions and oils for swords, or make bombs. Just like in the game, let’s go. Once you defeat the monsters, you can win trophies.

For now, the only thing you can do is sign up to receive notifications in your email of how much will be available. It will be on iOS and Android, and it will be free to play. What do you think of the idea?
